When AI Gets Something Wrong, How Far Does It Spread?

A developer asks an AI coding tool to clean up a new repository. The agent scans the codebase, identifies files it judges to be unnecessary, and removes them. Those files are security configurations: code scanning policies, default security rules, the guardrails the team put in place for every new repo. The agent does not know that. No one catches it until a review two weeks later.
