Loyalty and trust go hand in hand, and it’s important to us that the merchants using LoyaltyLion – and the customers using their loyalty programs – trust the security of our platform. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that LoyaltyLion has completed its SOC 2 Type 1 audit.
What is SOC2 and why is it important?
The Service Organizational Control (SOC) 2 Type 1 audit assesses whether or not organizations handling customer data have the required best practices in place.
The report provides a thorough review of LoyaltyLion’s internal controls and processes, verifying that they meet the requirements of the five trust principles of data: security, processing integrity, availability, confidentiality, and privacy.
Why is this important for your loyalty program?
In an age where consumers are becoming increasingly careful with the data they share, marketers must have confidence that the platforms they are using to store and manage customer data are entirely secure. This attestation ensures that you can enroll your customers into your loyalty program with the full confidence that their data will be handled securely and appropriately.
More information about our commitments to security can be found in our Terms of Service.
“Security and compliance are part of our day-to-day operations,” says LoyaltyLion’s CFO, Jake Touw. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer merchants increased confidence via this independent review of our security controls.”
