In this edition of the Nosto team spotlight, get to know Megan DeGruttola, Director of Marketing at Stackla. She shares what she’s looking forward to most as Stackla joins Nosto, her favorite emojis, and where she wants to travel post-pandemic.
Q: What’s something you’re most looking forward to as Stackla joins Nosto?
Megan: So many things! I’m excited to meet and work alongside everyone on the Nosto team. Having new people to collaborate with and learn from is such a joy.
I’m also looking forward to the challenge of building and executing on the vision of our combined platforms. I truly think we’re forming a first of its kind solution to help brands not only solve their current challenges but also push the boundaries of what customer experiences can be.
Q: What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit of?
Megan: Right now, I’m trying to get back into the habit of running. 🏃♀️
Years ago, I was an avid runner—going on 10+ mile (16+ km) jogs multiple times a week. Then work and life got busy and I stopped running altogether. (Word of advice: try to find the time to keep running if you do it regularly because attempting to get back into a good groove with it once you’ve stopped can be a real struggle.😓)
When the pandemic hit and we all were working from home, I started going on short runs to the Golden Gate Bridge to break up my day and get out of the house. I’m not quite back to the point where I’m enjoying it as I once did, but have been slowly making progress.
Q: Do you have any hidden talents?
Megan: I lowkey know all the lyrics to almost every song that was popular in the U.S. from the mid ‘90s through the early 2000s. Embarrassingly, I even won 1st place in a “Finish the Lyric” competition on a cruise ship once 🎶. Does that count?
(Just please don’t ask me to sing karaoke. 🙈)
Q: What are your favorite or most used emojis?
Megan: I’m guilty of overusing the 😂, 💯, and 🙌 emojis as replacements for “lol”, “definitely”, and “YAS” respectively. Though, I’m also very fond of the 🍾 emoji because I love champagne and I like to celebrate even the small things. And of course sometime you need the 💁♀️ emoji for good measure.
Q: What’s the destination you’re most looking forward to (re)visiting post-pandemic?
Megan: The second I was fully vaccinated, I booked a trip to Mexico for some beach time 🏝.
However, I’ve been dying to get back to Europe. Croatia and the Nordics have been high on my travel wish list for a while now. Hopefully, I can make a trip to a few of the Nosto offices and explore those regions once international travel starts opening up more🤞.
