Meet the people behind Loox

Regina Damti is a Senior Product Manager for our Review Squad. Her mission? Constantly improving review collection conversion rates. You might have noticed the increase in the past few months–thanks to her and the team 😉.

Hey Regina, can you tell us a bit about what you’re in charge of?

I manage the product development side of our Review Squad—a team of designers and programmers dedicated to helping merchantes consistently collect more reviews and showcase them through engaging widgets that drive conversion.

What do you do to better review collection?

We dive into every aspect of the collection process, develop new features, and run A/B tests to figure out what works best.

The changes we make based on AB tests aren’t always as big as you’d think. Tests can range from tweaking a color or wording to reworking entire parts of the review collection flow.

With over 100K merchants and millions of review requests going out daily, we’re able to run many tests. This helps us quickly identify what moves the needle. 

What’s the impact of these tests?

Not every test is a home run, and that’s okay. Some deliver incredible improvements of up to 36%, while others boost conversion by “just” 3-4%. Some don’t work at all 😕.

When we find something that works, we double down. We’ll run two or three more iterations to squeeze out every bit of potential before implementing the change into the product. 

Mostly, we see small wins,  but together they add up to create an effect much greater than the sum of their parts. This approach, known as Aggregation of marginal gains, is how we’ve managed to increase review collection by 30% in a single quarter!

Can you share some takeaways from this process?

Never let “we’ve tried this before” stop you. When I first joined the squad, I heard that phrase a few times. But you know what? Sometimes all it takes is a small tweak or better timing. So we gave some old ideas another shot, and they led to some of our biggest wins. 

What’s the best part about your work?

Testing and optimizations can feel like an uphill battle. When a test doesn’t have a positive result, it can be frustrating. At the end of the day, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that these small improvements make a significant impact. 

Helping merchants grow through their happy customers is at the core of everything we do. Seeing the tangible impact of our work is what makes it all worthwhile.
