No single AEO tool fits every ecommerce brand. Peec AI, Nudge, seoClarity, Goodie and Glara can track individual products in AI answers. Semrush, Ahrefs and AIclicks suit brand-level tracking on smaller budgets, while Conductor, BrightEdge and Profound serve enterprise teams.
Most AI visibility dashboards will tell you your brand got mentioned. Far fewer will tell you which of your products ChatGPT recommended, at what price, and whether the shopper was sent to your store or to Amazon. For an ecommerce brand, that second answer is the one worth paying for.
Last updated: October 13, 2026. Every price and feature below was rechecked against each vendor’s own website on that date.
AI traffic to US retail sites grew 393% year over year in the first quarter of 2026, and by March it was converting 42% better than non-AI traffic, according to Adobe Analytics data covering more than a trillion retail visits. A year earlier, the same traffic converted 38% worse. That reversal is why AEO tools went from curiosity to budget line in about twelve months, and why there are now more of them than any merchant can sensibly evaluate.
The pattern I see most when I talk with Shopify merchants and agency partners about this is the same one I watched for years at Shopify: premature complexity. A brand in the $500K to $2M range signs up for an enterprise-grade dashboard before its product pages give AI anything clean to read, then watches a visibility score move for a quarter without connecting it to a single change on the site. The tool wasn’t the problem. The order of operations was.
This list is built to help you get the order right. The 18 tools below are not ranked. They appear in the order this guide has carried them since it first ran, with Glara added at the end in this update, so position tells you nothing about quality. The comparison grid and the stage guidance after the tool write-ups are designed to help you find your fit. If you want the full landscape rather than the tools ecommerce teams ask about most, our guide to 83 GEO and AEO platforms goes wider.
AI visibility needs its own tool because the sources AI engines cite overlap only loosely with the pages Google ranks, so your SEO dashboard can look healthy while your products are missing from AI answers. Ahrefs found that only about 12% of links cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot appear in Google’s top 10 for the same query. Even between AI platforms the overlap is thin: one 2026 analysis of B2B software citations found only about 11% of domains cited by one AI platform are cited by others, so tracking ChatGPT alone tells you little about Gemini or Perplexity.
The click economics changed too. Seer Interactive’s 15-month study of 25 million impressions, reported in late 2025, found organic click-through on informational queries with an AI Overview fell 61%, and paid click-through on those results fell 68% over the same period. Seer’s April 2026 update suggests the floor has passed: organic click-through on those queries recovered from 1.3% in December 2025 to 2.4% by February 2026, and paid click-through rose. What didn’t change is the gap between brands that get cited and brands that don’t. In Seer’s third quarter 2025 data, cited brands earned 35% more organic clicks and 91% more paid clicks; by the 2026 update, cited brands were earning 120% more organic clicks per impression on informational queries. Seer describes both findings as directional correlations, not proof of cause.
The traffic that does arrive is worth having. A Visibility Labs study of 94 ecommerce brands across 2025 found ChatGPT referrals converted at 1.81% versus 1.39% for non-branded organic search, 31% higher, with revenue per session about 10% higher. That comparison is against non-branded organic only, but it is the right one for a merchant deciding where the next dollar of discovery effort should go.
Every tool on this list tracks or improves how AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Claude and Copilot) represent a brand, and every one was rechecked against its own website and pricing page on October 13, 2026. Each was judged on the same five criteria: which AI engines it covers and on which plan, whether it sees individual products or only brand mentions, whether it only measures or also produces fixes, what it costs to start, and how much independent evidence exists that the company and product are stable. Bear AI, which appeared in the earlier version of this list, was removed because its maker has shifted to selling AI training datasets and no longer markets a visibility product. Revere AI stays despite having no commerce features, because enterprise brand teams keep asking about it, and its write-up says plainly who should skip it. Glara was added in this update and assessed against the same five criteria as everything else.
Pricing below was checked on October 13, 2026. “Quote only” means the vendor publishes no price.
Goodie is an AI search visibility and optimization platform for retail and DTC brands that want to show up in AI shopping assistants, not just chatbots.
What it is. Goodie tracks visibility across a long list of answer engines, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and, unusually, shopping assistants such as Amazon Rufus and Alexa for Shopping. Its workflow runs from prompt research to monitoring to recommended actions, with a content studio, AI crawler analytics and an MCP server for teams that want Goodie data inside their own agents. For ecommerce, the part that matters is its Agentic Commerce Suite, which adds SKU-level visibility on the Pro plan, so you see which products an assistant recommends rather than only whether your brand name appeared.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Goodie’s Core plan costs $399 per month for five engines and 120 prompts, Pro costs $999 per month for eight engines including the shopping assistants and SKU-level visibility, and Enterprise is custom. Annual billing gives two months free, and Core includes a seven-day trial.
Where it stands out. Goodie’s coverage of retail assistants is the widest on this list, which matters if a real share of your sales already runs through Amazon. The SKU-level view on Pro answers the product question directly. Vendor case studies cite results for Dermalogica and SteelSeries, though those figures are Goodie’s own reporting.
Limitations. The engines that matter most for commerce, including Gemini and the shopping assistants, sit behind the $999 Pro plan, so the $399 entry price undersells the real cost for a retail brand. Independent validation is also thin: Goodie had nine reviews on G2 when this list was updated.
Best fit: Retail and DTC brands above roughly $5M a year with meaningful Amazon or marketplace exposure. Skip if: You’re under $1M or only need to know whether ChatGPT mentions your brand; a cheaper tracker answers that.
Conductor is an enterprise SEO platform rebuilt around AI search, aimed at large in-house SEO and content teams.
What it is. Conductor Intelligence reports AI and organic visibility side by side and ties both to traffic, conversions and revenue. It covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Claude, and Conductor’s free report adds Perplexity and AI Overviews. Around that sit Conductor Creator for AI-assisted writing, Conductor Monitoring for round-the-clock site health (including how AI bots crawl your pages), and AgentStack, an MCP server and data API. In its most recent fiscal year results, Conductor reported adding more than 50 enterprise customers in the fourth quarter, including Airbnb and Coca-Cola. What its published materials don’t show is product or SKU-level tracking or a Shopify integration.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Conductor publishes no prices. Plans run Essentials (free trial, 500 keywords, three sites), Growth and Enterprise, billed on usage, and AI search tracking credits start at Growth.
Where it stands out. Conductor’s strength is integration: SEO, AEO, content and technical monitoring live in one system with one set of permissions, which matters when twenty people touch the website. It also has the deepest review base here, rated 4.5 out of 5 across more than 800 G2 reviews.
Limitations. Pricing is opaque, and G2 reviewers rate Conductor’s cost at the top of the scale. AI tracking isn’t in the entry Essentials plan, so evaluating it for AEO means a sales conversation.
Best fit: Enterprise retailers and large DTC brands with dedicated SEO and content teams that want AEO inside their existing SEO workflow. Skip if: You don’t have SEO staff, or you’re a Shopify brand under roughly $20M a year.
Profound is an enterprise AI visibility platform that has expanded from monitoring into AI agents that draft and act on content.
What it is. Profound tracks up to nine engines on its Enterprise plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude and Exa. Answer Engine Insights show how often and how favorably you appear, Prompt Volumes estimates what people actually ask, and Agent Analytics shows which AI crawlers visit your site. For ecommerce, Profound tracks ChatGPT Shopping results at SKU level across merchants and retailers, on Enterprise only. Profound raised a $96 million Series C in February 2026 and a $180 million Series D at a $1.8 billion valuation in September 2026.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Profound offers a free seven-day trial (50 prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews) and a custom-priced Enterprise plan. The $99 and $399 self-serve tiers quoted in older reviews no longer appear on its pricing page.
Where it stands out. Profound has the strongest funding and enterprise footprint in the category, and its ChatGPT Shopping tracking is one of the few ways to see product-level placement in OpenAI’s shopping results. SSO, SCIM and SOC 2 clear enterprise procurement quickly.
Limitations. Everything an ecommerce team wants from Profound, including Shopping tracking, data history, exports and the API, is gated to Enterprise. Agent usage runs on credits with overage billing, which makes the monthly cost hard to forecast.
Best fit: Large brands and agencies with a dedicated AI search budget and a need for ChatGPT Shopping data. Skip if: You’re an SMB or mid-market store; you’ll pay for capability you won’t use.
Passionfruit Labs is a low-cost, self-serve AI visibility tracker that ties AI traffic to revenue through GA4.
What it is. Passionfruit Labs launched its self-serve product in late 2025 alongside a related managed SEO and GEO agency. It tracks page-level citations, sentiment, share of voice and the specific prompts where you’re invisible, then turns those findings into an action plan. Engine coverage scales with the plan: ChatGPT alone on Lite; ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity on Starter; Claude added on Pro; and AI Overviews, AI Mode, Grok, Copilot and others on Enterprise. Its GA4 and Search Console integrations report sessions and revenue by AI platform, which is more attribution than most tools at this price provide. Passionfruit Labs does not connect to Shopify directly.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Passionfruit Labs lists Lite at $19 per month (20 ChatGPT prompts tracked daily), Starter at $49, Pro at $99 and custom Enterprise pricing, with a seven-day free trial.
Where it stands out. It’s the cheapest credible way on this list to start tracking, and every plan includes unlimited seats. The revenue by AI channel view gives a smaller brand something to show a founder or investor beyond a visibility score.
Limitations. Independent reviews of Passionfruit Labs are close to nonexistent, so you’re trusting a young vendor. The low tiers cover few engines and cap daily prompts, so a brand with several product categories will outgrow Lite quickly.
Best fit: DTC brands from about $250K to $3M a year that want a first tracker with revenue context. Skip if: You need every major engine covered or a vendor with a long track record.
Semrush‘s AI Visibility Toolkit adds AI search tracking to the SEO suite many marketing teams already use.
What it is. The AI Visibility Toolkit (previously called the AI Toolkit) gives you an AI Visibility Score, competitor research, prompt research with volume and intent, brand performance reports covering share of voice and sentiment, daily prompt tracking, and an AI search site audit that flags crawler blockers. Daily tracking covers ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, with Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews appearing in broader reporting; Semrush’s own pages describe coverage slightly differently, so confirm the engines you care about during setup. Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush in April 2026. The Semrush brand still operates, and Adobe has said it plans to fold Semrush into its wider brand visibility products.
Pricing. As of October 2026, the standalone AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 per month for 25 tracked prompts and one brand domain, with 50 more prompts at $60 per month. Bundled SEO plus AI search plans start at $199 per month.
Where it stands out. If your team already lives in Semrush, adding AI visibility costs less in time than any other option here, because keyword, backlink and AI data sit in one place. Prompt research with volume estimates helps you choose which questions are worth tracking.
Limitations. Twenty-five prompts is a small base, and every Semrush add-on stacks cost. It reports at the brand level, with no SKU or Shopify-specific tracking, and the roadmap is less certain while Adobe integrates the product.
Best fit: Teams already paying for Semrush that want AI visibility in the same workflow. Skip if: You need product-level AI shopping data or don’t otherwise use Semrush.
Rankability is an SEO content optimizer that has grown into an AEO suite built for agencies, combining AI visibility tracking with the tools to act on what it finds.
What it is. Rankability tracks brand mentions, citations, sentiment, cited URLs and competitor presence across 11 AI surfaces daily: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, Brave AI, DeepSeek and Meta AI, and it tracks Google rankings from the same dashboard. Where Rankability differs from pure trackers is the workflow behind the data: content briefs and optimization for category and product pages, page and technical audits covering structured data and canonical tags, and reporting across unlimited client workspaces. That makes it practical for an agency running AEO for several ecommerce clients, or a content-led brand with its own writers.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Rankability’s Starter plan costs $97 per month ($970 a year) with 100 tracked AI queries, Agency costs $297 per month for 300 queries, and Agency Pro costs $497 per month for 500, with a seven-day trial.
Where it stands out. Rankability’s engine coverage is among the broadest at its price, and it closes the loop from finding a gap to rewriting the page. Unlimited seats and workspaces suit agencies, and users rate it 5.0 out of 5 on G2, though from a small base of 19 reviews.
Limitations. Rankability has no product or SKU-level tracking, no feed or Shopify integration, and no revenue attribution. Optimized copy still has to be published by hand, and 100 queries on Starter is thin for a store with many categories.
Best fit: Agencies managing AEO for multiple ecommerce clients, and content-led brands with in-house writers. Skip if: You need to know which specific products AI recommends.
Vismore is a young AEO tool that pairs prompt monitoring with content creation and distribution across the communities AI engines cite.
What it is. Vismore launched in early 2026 (it was briefly called ModelFox before launch) from the team behind a Reddit marketing tool, and that heritage shows. It finds the questions people ask AI about your category, monitors how you appear in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, builds a strategy, and drafts content for Reddit, Medium, LinkedIn and Quora, with a person approving before anything goes out. The logic is sound: AI answers lean heavily on community sources, so credible content in those places can move visibility faster than rewriting your own site. Vismore has no product, Shopify or attribution features.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Vismore’s Starter plan costs $99 per month for 50 prompts, Pro costs $199 for 100, and Advanced costs $399 for 200, with custom Enterprise pricing.
Where it stands out. Vismore does the work most trackers leave to you, which suits a lean team that knows it needs community presence but has no one to create it. The approval step keeps a human in charge of what is posted in your name.
Limitations. Vismore is very new, with no independent reviews yet. Seeding content into Reddit and Quora carries real brand safety and moderation risk if it reads as promotional, and Vismore doesn’t itemize which engines each plan covers.
Best fit: Small brands where community content, not on-site data, is the visibility gap. Skip if: You operate under strict brand safety rules or need rigorous, product-level measurement.
Revere AI is an enterprise AI brand intelligence platform that measures how large language models perceive, rank and describe a brand.
What it is. Revere, based in Bellevue, Washington, and led by former RealNetworks president Mike Ensing, runs brand audits and ongoing monitoring that produce a Brand Index score and a Share of AI Voice measure. Revere AI covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Meta AI and evaluates sentiment and the authority of the sources AI draws on. Its focus is narrative: not just whether a model mentions you, but whether it describes you as premium, budget, reliable or outdated. Its listed industries are financial services, technology, education, manufacturing and insurance, and it has no commerce, product or Shopify features.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Revere AI publishes no pricing; engagements start with a demo.
Where it stands out. Revere AI’s perception and narrative analysis goes further than most trackers, which matters for a brand whose problem is how AI describes it rather than whether it shows up. The audit format suits board or agency reporting.
Limitations. Revere AI is built for enterprise and consulting-style engagements, with opaque pricing and no self-serve option, so you can’t test it before a sales process. It has no product-level functionality, and its target verticals are not retail.
Best fit: Large consumer brands with a positioning or reputation problem in AI answers, usually through an agency or consultancy. Skip if: You’re a Shopify or DTC merchant who needs to know which products AI recommends; Revere AI isn’t designed to answer that.
Nudge is an AI commerce visibility platform for consumer brands that tracks product mentions in AI answers and builds landing pages for AI-referred shoppers.
What it is. Nudge pivoted in 2026 from in-app engagement software to agentic commerce, announcing a $1.1 million pre-seed round alongside the new platform in June 2026. It tracks product mentions by prompt and platform across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, classifies AI visits by intent down to the SKU, and enriches catalog data so product pages read better to shopping agents. Nudge also generates shoppable funnels and pages for AI-referred traffic, runs experiments on them, and attributes orders and revenue to those pages. It integrates with Shopify, Google Analytics, Search Console and Meta, which makes it one of the most ecommerce-native tools on this list.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Nudge publishes no prices; plans are based on prompts, opportunities and usage, with enterprise options. An older pricing page on its domain still describes the previous engagement product, so ignore it.
Where it stands out. Nudge connects AI visibility to conversion in a way most trackers don’t, following the product, the visit and the order. Its native Shopify integration means less setup for a DTC team.
Limitations. Nudge is pre-seed, with no named customers or case studies on its site, so you’d be an early adopter. Its blog leans on self-ranking “best tools” lists, so treat its own comparisons with caution.
Best fit: Shopify and DTC brands that want product-level AI visibility tied to revenue and are comfortable piloting a young vendor. Skip if: You need a cheap self-serve tracker or a proven track record.
Gauge is an AI visibility and content platform from a Y Combinator company that helps brands get recommended, and increasingly implemented, by AI.
What it is. Gauge, founded by Caelean Barnes and Evan Doyle, runs a large prompt set daily across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, with Claude and Grok available if you connect your own API key. Its content engine produces about 18 articles a month aimed at closing the gaps it finds, and a newer product, Gauge Agents, helps developer tools get chosen by coding agents. Gauge’s customer list, which includes Supabase, PostHog and Clerk, tells you who it’s built for: developer tools and B2B software. Earlier versions of this list linked to gauge.ai, an unrelated consumer research company; the link above is the correct one.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Gauge’s Growth plan costs $599 per month for 600 prompts run daily across six platforms, with a one-week trial; Enterprise is custom.
Where it stands out. Volume: 600 daily prompts works out to roughly 108,000 AI answers a month, enough for trend lines you can trust. The built-in content engine turns findings into published pages.
Limitations. Gauge has no small tier, so $599 is the floor even if you only need 50 prompts. It has no product or SKU-level tracking, and commerce isn’t its focus.
Best fit: Ecommerce software companies, app developers and B2B brands selling into the Shopify ecosystem. Skip if: You’re a merchant who needs product visibility; Gauge isn’t built for catalogs.
Peec AI is a Berlin-based AI search analytics platform that added SKU-level AI shopping tracking in June 2026.
What it is. Peec AI tracks how often ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, Copilot and other engines mention or cite your brand against competitors; base plans let you choose three engines, and Enterprise covers up to 13 models. Its AI Shopping module pulls your catalog from Shopify or a product feed and reports visibility, position and win rate per SKU, the price AI quotes against your catalog price, and whether the shopper is sent to your store, a marketplace or a retailer. That last data point is the one most Shopify brands are missing. Peec AI raised a $21 million Series A in November 2025 and passed $10 million in annual recurring revenue in May 2026.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Peec AI lists Starter (50 prompts, three engines), Pro (150 prompts) and Advanced (350 prompts) plans with unlimited seats. PricingSaaS, which tracks the page, shows annual-billed prices of about $80, $205 and $420 per month. Confirm current prices, and which plans include AI Shopping, on Peec’s site.
Where it stands out. Peec AI combines SMB pricing with the most complete SKU-level shopping data on this list, including the price and destination detail. Unlimited seats, a Looker Studio connector, an API and an MCP server make the data easy to share.
Limitations. Base plans cap you at three engines, and Perplexity moved to Enterprise only in September 2026. Peec AI has no native GA4 or revenue attribution, so connecting visibility to sales is your job.
Best fit: Shopify and DTC brands from about $500K to $20M a year that want product-level shopping data at a small business price. Skip if: Revenue attribution matters more to you than SKU detail, or you need broad engine coverage cheaply.
Ahrefs Brand Radar is the AI visibility layer inside Ahrefs, built on a database of hundreds of millions of prompts rather than only the ones you choose to track.
What it is. Brand Radar’s AI Visibility Index draws on more than 475 million monthly prompts across Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, reporting mentions, citations, share of voice and estimated impressions for any brand without setup. Custom Prompts lets you track your own questions, including on Claude. Ahrefs also shows AI referral traffic and AI crawler visits through its free web and bot analytics. Ahrefs Brand Radar has no product, SKU or Shopify features.
Pricing. As of October 2026, the AI Visibility Index starts at $199 per month, Custom Prompts start at $50 per month, and access to all models is listed at $699 per month. Core Ahrefs plans start at $129 per month and include 5 to 20 custom prompts.
Where it stands out. Because the prompt database is prebuilt, you can benchmark any competitor instantly, which no prompt-only tracker can do. If you already pay for Ahrefs, Brand Radar sits next to the backlink and keyword data you use every day.
Limitations. Pricing is metered and confusing, with three entry points and per-check overage. Brand Radar measures but doesn’t optimize, and it has no ecommerce or SKU tracking.
Best fit: Teams already on Ahrefs, and anyone who needs to benchmark many competitors at once. Skip if: You’re a small Shopify store that wants product-level shopping data.
BrightEdge is an enterprise SEO platform with AI search tracking and optimization layered in, used by large in-house teams.
What it is. BrightEdge’s AI Catalyst, built on its Generative Parser technology, tracks brand presence and sentiment across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside prompt research, recommendations and AI referral analytics. In August 2026 BrightEdge launched Agent Edge, which serves a lightweight, AI-friendly version of your pages to AI agents at the CDN level. BrightEdge says more than half the Fortune 500 use it, and its long history in enterprise SEO means AI visibility arrives inside reporting, forecasting and content workflows large teams already use, rather than as another login. Its only commerce-specific capability we found is Amazon ranking insight; BrightEdge offers no Shopify, SKU or feed tracking, so product-level questions need a second tool.
Pricing. As of October 2026, BrightEdge publishes no pricing; contracts are sales-led.
Where it stands out. Agent Edge is one of the few products here that changes what AI agents receive rather than only reporting on it, which matters for large sites built on heavy JavaScript. BrightEdge’s enterprise workflows suit teams already running SEO at scale.
Limitations. Pricing is opaque and onboarding is heavy. Reviewers note narrower native engine coverage than newer tools, without Claude, Grok or DeepSeek, which matters if your buyers research on those assistants. BrightEdge is also a platform commitment rather than a tool you trial for a month.
Best fit: Fortune 500 and large retail SEO teams already standardized on BrightEdge. Skip if: You’re an SMB or mid-market Shopify brand.
seoClarity‘s ArcAI is the AI search suite inside an enterprise SEO platform, with the strongest product feed and SKU-level capabilities of the enterprise tools on this list.
What it is. ArcAI tracks citations and mentions across Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, with prompt research, sentiment, hallucination and accuracy flags, and AI bot activity. For ecommerce, seoClarity adds SKU-level AI shopping tracking and a Product Feed Optimizer for Google Shopping and AI shopping surfaces, plus a free feed audit. seoClarity announced a $5 million investment in October 2025 to build ArcAI 2.0 and says more than 3,500 brands and agencies use the platform. An MCP server and API let large teams pull ArcAI data into their own systems.
Pricing. As of October 2026, ArcAI is custom-quoted, reportedly as an add-on rather than a standalone product. seoClarity’s published base plans start at $2,500 per month, though the page labels those figures representative as of 2022.
Where it stands out. For a big catalog, feed-level optimization matters more than prompt tracking, and seoClarity is the only enterprise suite here that offers both. Its accuracy flags help catch AI describing discontinued or mispriced products.
Limitations. seoClarity costs thousands per month and has a steep learning curve, so plan for onboarding time before ArcAI pays back. Reviewers also note it lacks AI traffic or revenue attribution.
Best fit: Enterprise retailers with large catalogs who need SKU and feed-level AI shopping data. Skip if: Your total SEO tooling budget is under about $2,500 a month.
AIclicks is a budget AI visibility tracker from Lithuania that adds content, outreach and Reddit recommendations plus an AI article writer.
What it is. AIclicks offers 13 engines in total, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and Naver natively, with Claude, Perplexity, Grok and others available through API connections; you choose three, four or six depending on plan. It reports citation sources, competitor visibility and country-level results, recommends actions, and writes 5 to 30 AI-optimized articles a month that publish to your CMS. GA4 integration arrives on the Pro plan. AIclicks says more than 1,000 businesses and 400 agencies use it, and it holds a 4.9 rating on G2 from about 55 reviews. It has no Shopify, product or SKU features.
Pricing. As of October 2026, AIclicks’ Starter plan costs $59 per month for 30 prompts and three engines, Pro costs $189 for 150 prompts and four engines, and Business costs $499 for 300 prompts and six engines, with up to 29% off on annual billing.
Where it stands out. AIclicks is one of the cheapest ways to get tracking and content output in a single subscription, and the engine menu lets you pick the three that matter to your buyers.
Limitations. Thirty prompts on Starter is tight, and GA4 and the API are locked to Pro. One independent reviewer also flagged inconsistent terms across AIclicks’ own documentation and no published SOC 2 or SSO.
Best fit: Small brands and agencies wanting low-cost tracking plus content in one tool. Skip if: You need SKU-level shopping data or enterprise security credentials.
Schema App is an enterprise structured data service and platform that builds and governs your schema markup so search engines and AI represent your brand accurately.
What it is. Schema App is not a tracker. It authors, deploys and maintains schema markup (Product, Review, FAQ and more) across large sites and turns that markup into a content knowledge graph AI systems can read. Its Entity Hub links your pages to recognized entities, and an MCP server lets AI tools query the graph directly. Schema App answers the problem the trackers expose: when an AI engine misstates your price or availability, clean and consistent structured data is usually the fix. Customers include SAP, Wells Fargo and Gusto. A separate, inexpensive Schema App Shopify app exists, but it’s a much simpler product with few reviews.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Schema App’s platform is sold only as a custom enterprise package with a 12-month minimum, a one-time setup fee and a monthly support commitment. The Shopify app costs $15 to $30 per month.
Where it stands out. Schema App fixes the underlying data rather than reporting on symptoms, and its governance tooling keeps markup accurate as thousands of pages change.
Limitations. The minimum commitment and service retainer put the platform out of reach for most Shopify brands. You’ll still need a tracker to see whether the fixes changed what AI says about you.
Best fit: Enterprise and regulated brands with large, complex sites and dedicated development or SEO teams. Skip if: You run a standard Shopify theme with a few hundred products; a well-built theme or app plus a tracker gets you most of the way, and our AI search SEO playbook for Shopify covers which schema types to fix first.
Yext is an enterprise platform for managing brand facts, listings and reviews across search and AI, built around multi-location businesses.
What it is. Yext’s Knowledge Graph centralizes the facts about your brand, locations and offerings so they publish consistently to listings, maps and AI systems. Its Scout product tracks visibility across Google Search and Maps, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, benchmarks you against up to 20 competitors location by location, and feeds recommended actions into an Action Center that can update listings and reviews. For a brand with stores, keeping hours, locations and offers accurate in AI answers is exactly the job, because an assistant that sends a shopper to a closed store or quotes an old promotion costs a sale and some trust. In September 2026 Yext connected Scout’s recommendations to its Action Center so agents can carry them out, and launched a separate text-message agent for small businesses. The Yext Knowledge Graph supports products as an entity type, but there are no SKU, catalog or Shopify features.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Yext publishes no prices. SpendHound, which tracks software spend, reports average contracts of about $20,800 a year for smaller businesses and about $174,000 for enterprises.
Where it stands out. No other tool here handles location data at Yext’s scale, and its location-by-location competitive benchmarking is unique on this list.
Limitations. Yext is built around places, so an online-only DTC brand gets little from it. Enterprise contract pricing comes with no published tiers.
Best fit: Multi-location retailers and brands with physical stores alongside ecommerce. Skip if: You sell online only.
Glara is an AI visibility and optimization platform for ecommerce brands that concentrates on the products driving most of a brand’s revenue.
What it is. Rather than tracking thousands of prompts, Glara focuses on a defined set of priority products, typically 20 to 50, and shows how ChatGPT and Gemini (plus Perplexity, Claude and Grok on Enterprise) describe and recommend each one against competitors. When a product is missing or misrepresented, Glara diagnoses whether the gap sits in product page copy, structured data or external sources such as Reddit, YouTube and Trustpilot, then generates fixes (descriptions, JSON-LD, FAQs and meta descriptions) that you approve before they’re pushed to your store, with every change reversible. Glara connects to Shopify self-serve, sets up Centra and Salesforce Commerce Cloud through its team, and uses GA4, Search Console and a Klaviyo post-purchase survey to tie visibility changes to traffic and revenue.
Pricing. As of October 2026, Glara’s Starter plan costs $120 per month billed annually ($150 monthly) for 20 products, five competitors and three seats. Advanced costs $345 per month billed annually ($435 monthly) for 50-plus products, eight competitors and product-level optimizations, and Enterprise is custom. Glara confirmed this pricing in writing on October 16, 2026. Both paid plans include a seven-day trial, and Glara also offers a free AI visibility report.
Where it stands out. At its price, Glara is the most fix-oriented tool on this list: it doesn’t stop at telling you a product is invisible, it writes and pushes the correction for your approval. The hero product focus keeps the work on the short list of pages that carry most of many brands’ revenue.
Limitations. Glara’s self-serve plans cover only ChatGPT and Gemini; Perplexity and Claude need Enterprise. Glara is young, with no G2 reviews yet and no disclosed funding. Automated optimizations start on Advanced, not Starter.
Best fit: Shopify, Centra or Salesforce Commerce Cloud brands in fashion, beauty, food and beverage or consumer goods, roughly $1M to $50M a year, with a defined hero catalog and a preference for fixes over another dashboard. Skip if: You need broad engine coverage cheaply, sell thousands of long-tail SKUs with no clear heroes, or run a B2B or service business.
The right AEO tool depends less on features than on whether your product data is ready to be measured, and that tracks closely with revenue stage. Here is how I’d narrow the list.
If you’re under $500K a year, spend your first $100 a month on product pages rather than a tracker. Clean titles, specs, reviews and structured data are what AI reads, and our Shopify AI visibility audit and guide to the product page facts AI shoppers need cover what to fix first. If you want a number to watch while you do that, Passionfruit Labs at $19 a month or AIclicks at $59 a month (October 2026 pricing) will do the job.
Between $500K and $2M is where premature complexity does the most damage, so pick one tool that sees products and resist adding a second. Peec AI fits if you want SKU-level shopping data, including the price AI quotes and where it sends the shopper, at a small business price. Glara fits if you’d rather the tool write and push fixes for a short list of hero products. Nudge fits if the landing experience for AI-referred shoppers is your gap and you’re comfortable with an early vendor. The trade-off is breadth against action: Peec AI measures more widely, while Glara acts more directly on fewer products. We dug into why product data decides AI recommendations with Trever Chidester of Plytix on episode 464, and it’s worth an hour before you choose.
From $2M to $20M, with an SEO lead or an agency, tooling you already pay for usually wins. Semrush or Ahrefs Brand Radar add AI visibility to subscriptions you have; Rankability suits an agency running content for you; Goodie Pro earns its $999 a month (as of October 2026) when Amazon or Rufus matters to your revenue; and Vismore helps when the gap is community content rather than your own site.
Above $20M, the decision is about budget and existing contracts. Profound is the choice for ChatGPT Shopping data at scale, seoClarity for large catalogs that need feed-level work, and Conductor or BrightEdge if your SEO team is already standardized on one. Pair any of them with Schema App if structured data governance is the bottleneck, Yext if you operate stores, and Revere AI if the issue is how AI describes your brand rather than whether it finds you. Gauge is the outlier: excellent at what it does, but built for software companies rather than merchants.
There is no single best AEO tool for ecommerce, which is why this list is unranked. The 18 tools above split into three jobs: measuring brand mentions, measuring and fixing product-level visibility, and repairing the structured data underneath. Most brands need the second job first and the third eventually; the first is useful context but rarely changes what you do on Monday.
Whatever you choose, the inputs AI reads keep widening. McKinsey projects agentic commerce could orchestrate up to $1 trillion in US B2C retail revenue by 2030, and $3 trillion to $5 trillion globally, a projection rather than a measurement. Images are part of the same data problem: Google said in late 2024 that Lens handles nearly 20 billion visual searches every month. A tool can show you where you’re missing. Only your product data, images and reviews can fix it, which is what our analysis of 49,559 AI crawler visits found as well.
If you’re still deciding, start with the stage guidance above, trial two tools side by side for two weeks on the same 20 products, and keep the one whose findings you actually acted on. For the background on what AEO, GEO and AI SEO each mean, our AI search visibility explainer for Shopify stores is the place to begin.
There is no single best AEO tool for a Shopify store; the right one depends on your revenue stage and whether you need product-level data. Under about $500K a year, a low-cost tracker such as Passionfruit Labs or AIclicks is enough while you fix product pages. Between $500K and $20M, tools that see individual products, such as Peec AI, Glara or Nudge, usually earn their cost because they show which SKUs AI recommends. Above $20M, enterprise platforms such as Profound, seoClarity, Conductor or BrightEdge fit teams with dedicated SEO staff. Whatever you choose, trial two tools on the same 20 products for two weeks and keep the one whose findings you actually acted on.
AEO tools cost anywhere from about $19 a month to six-figure annual contracts in October 2026. At the low end, Passionfruit Labs starts at $19 a month and AIclicks at $59. Mid-market tools cluster between roughly $80 and $400 a month, including Peec AI, Semrush’s AI Visibility Toolkit at $99, Rankability at $97, Glara at $120 billed annually, Ahrefs Brand Radar at $199 and Goodie at $399. Gauge starts at $599. Profound, Conductor, BrightEdge, seoClarity, Schema App, Revere AI, Nudge and Yext publish no prices and sell through demos. Watch the plan limits as closely as the price, because prompt caps and engine coverage often push the real cost up a tier.
Brand-level tracking tells you whether AI answers mention or cite your brand, while SKU-level tracking tells you which of your individual products AI recommends, at what price, and where it sends the shopper. Most AEO tools, including Semrush, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Rankability and AIclicks, work at the brand level. A smaller group, including Peec AI, Goodie on its Pro plan, Profound on Enterprise, seoClarity, Nudge and Glara, tracks individual products. For an ecommerce brand, SKU-level data is usually more useful because it points to a specific product page you can fix, whereas a brand mention score moves for reasons you often can’t act on.
Peec AI, Nudge and Glara connect directly to Shopify, which lets them read your product catalog and track visibility per product. Peec AI imports your catalog from Shopify or a product feed for its AI Shopping module. Nudge integrates with Shopify alongside Google Analytics, Search Console and Meta. Glara offers a self-serve Shopify connection that takes a few minutes and can push approved fixes back to your store. Schema App also sells a separate, simpler Shopify app for structured data. Most other tools on the list, including Semrush, Ahrefs, Rankability and AIclicks, work from your website and prompts rather than your catalog, so they report on your brand rather than on specific products.
Buy an AEO tool once your product pages give AI clean, consistent facts to read, which for most brands means after titles, specs, pricing, reviews and structured data are in order. Before that point, a tracker mostly confirms that you’re invisible without telling you anything new. A practical test: if your top 20 products have complete specifications, accurate schema markup and recent reviews, a tracker will show you where to focus next. If they don’t, spend the first month fixing those pages, then add a low-cost tracker to measure the effect. Brands between $500K and $2M a year benefit most from that order, because it keeps spending tied to changes they can actually make.
